The Willunga Avenue of Honour commemorates the centenary of the Gallipoli landing with the planting of 100 trees as a living memorial to local servicemen, servicewomen and their families. It is located on the corner of Victor Harbor and Aldinga roads Willunga, in South Australia. The Avenue of Honour is a plantation of Quercus canariensis (Canary Oaks). The Oak symbolises the foreign field in which our fallen still lie. A bronze oak leaf was also used to signify distinguished service medals awarded during World War 1.
Opposite the commemorative planting an interpretive sign and wayside stop on the slip-road entry to Willunga forms part of this memorial site.
