The Point Walter Avenue of Honour, Bicton, was originally established to commemorate the soldiers who had fallen in World War One. 25 trees, mostly Lemon Scented Gums and Sugar Gums, were planted for 25 fallen soldiers. After roadworks in the 1980s, many of the original plantings were replaced.
The Nurses Memorial is one of two established in Perth (the other is at Kings Park) to commemorate the service, suffering and sacrifice related to the Vyner Brooke tragedy during WW2. A small pond and garden surround, provides the backdropto this memorial, in the Point Walter Reserve at Bicton. Nestled within a curved metal-clad wall,is
