The Point Walter Avenue of Honour, Bicton, was originally established to commemorate the soldiers who had fallen in World War One. 25 trees, mostly Lemon Scented Gums and Sugar Gums, were planted for 25 fallen soldiers. After roadworks in the 1980s, many of the original plantings were replaced.
